Townes, Prof. Alan MacDiarmid, Prof. William D. In fact, the talk by Chicago University&#8217;s celebrated Wendy Freedman&#8217;s is entitled &#8220;<em>Is There Something Missing From Our Current Understanding of the Cosmos?<\/em>&#8220;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My lecture will provide the latest powerful evidence showing <strong>Universe Expansion is an illusion.<\/strong> It will also explain how <strong>Cosmic Microwave &#8220;Background&#8221; &#8211; isn&#8217;t background<\/strong>. The main reason is whole-sky microwave &#8220;cameras&#8221; have such spectacularly pathetic resolution (86,000 times worse then Hubble images). Imagine taking family photos with a camera that only has One-Pixel. Worthless. That&#8217;s about how bad COBE was.<\/p>\n<p>Newer satellites WMAP and PLANCK have improved resolution, but they are still astoundingly inadequate (<strong>58,000 times worse resolution than Hubble &#8211; not a misprint<\/strong>) to prove microwave &#8220;Background&#8221; even exists.<\/p>\n<p>So maybe my 2008 public prediction is\u00a0 sloooowly coming true &#8211; that <strong>Big Bang will soon collapse like a House of Cards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"># # #<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m honored by a kind invitation to give a keynote Cosmology Lecture for Bhaktivedanta Institute&#8217;s Golden Jubilee in Kolkata India taking place March 16-22, 2026.
