Galaxies Merging<\/p><\/div>\n

For Forty Thousand Fortnights,
\nPtolemy<\/a> ruled the skies,
\nwith his Earth centered-universe,
\nere its overdue demise.<\/p>\n

Well, 500 years hereafter,
\nI’m embarrassed to confess,
\nCosmology still grasps mirages,
\nmaking another goofy mess.<\/p>\n

Gravitational Expansion<\/a>,
\na self-conflicting view,
\nanother Earth-centered blunder,
\nmisled by a sexy clue.<\/p>\n

\"Andromeda<\/a>

Andromeda Galaxy M31<\/p><\/div>\n

If Space really has expansion
\nthen why not our Milky-way?
\nBang’s galactic contradictions,
\nin such tortured disarray.<\/p>\n

Imaginary Dark Matter<\/a>,
\nhas its missing-in-action quirk,
\nwhile overlooked Red Dwarfs<\/a>
\nhave all the right stuff to work.<\/p>\n

Microwave “background<\/a>,”
\nwith an odor of illusion
\ncan’t be caught by camera,
\nso twisted calculations,
\nsell us a delusion.<\/p>\n

\"Veil<\/a>

Veil Nebula<\/p><\/div>\n

Far beyond our solar system,
\nMagnets rule galactic veils,
\nFinally large-scale structure fits into coherent, reasonable tales.<\/p>\n

But concrete Big Bang minds,
\nMixed up and set so solid,
\nspew Seagull squawks of protest,
\ndefending thoughts impossibly valid.<\/p>\n

Growing silliness for half a century,
\nBang house cards now in tatters,
\nilluminating simple facts,
\ninvokes angry seagull mutters.<\/p>\n

For a dozen recent Lustrum<\/a>,
\ntheories tortured common sense,
\ndriving reason to the weeds,
\nan infuriating offense.<\/p>\n

\"Rube<\/a>

Rube Goldberg Loved Big Bang<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Piece by silly piece,
\nTheorists warped math into a cloud,
\nT’would make dear old Rube Goldberg<\/a>,
\nawkwardly, goofily proud.<\/p>\n

Now that Bang’s exposed as faulty,
\npainfully obvious as a lie,
\nmany wonder in dismay,
\nwhy it takes so long to die.<\/p>\n

Could it be because Big Bangers
\nprefer a flashy show,
\nwillfully using wrong maps<\/a>,
\nthan confess what they don’t know.<\/p>\n

Back in our stable, Simmering Universe<\/a>.
\nRaise a glass and join our song,
\nSharing hearty cheers,
\nall the light-year long.<\/p>\n
